Hi Fam,
I hope everyone is doing well, resting from all the partying this past weekend! Congrats Laura and Kirsten on your graduations!! I hope that it was all you ever imagined, and that paper you paid thousands for is serving you well ;) hehe
This week was really good! We have been working really hard, and finding a ton of people to teach. I know that in every area there are people ready to change right now, i just need to search a little bit harder. But this past week was a bit interesting too because... well lets just say i have changed a lot of things on the mission, but one thing that i am still working on is not losing everything. Last week i lost our phone.... oopppss. haha and we cant have a new one until the office gets more phones. So i guess that is my punishment.... Haha but we are still fine because we live with other sisters that have a phone, so it´s just while we are out working that we dont have communication. This means that we cant call to see if someone is home, we just have to go.. Which means we did a bit more walking this past week. But i just kept telling my companion that everything happens for a reason, and that there is something we need to be learning from this experience. And i think the thing was to learn more to trust in God. He now is our only source of communication, but He is the strongest. In the beginning it was tough, but now i am learning how to really think, and more importantly pray. He knows everything, even the little details, like if someone is in their house. So we have been relying so much more on Him this week, and we saw miracles.
One thing was that everytime a visit fell i thought to myself, "Well God has someone else prepared and waiting for us" So we would go out searching. Lots of times it is easier to just go visit a member, but i dont want to take to easy route anymore. So one night we were searching for someone to visit, and were walking along this street. I looked into a house and saw a mom and dad sitting with there son talking. As a missionary i now have a mental alarm that goes off whenever i see a family, especially a mom and a dad. So i stopped and started to talk to them, and within a few minutes they let us in and we started talking to them. We sang Families can be Together Forever, and from that moment on the husband was hooked. You could see it in his eyes, like a little child hearing a fairytale that they really believe. He was amazed that families really can be together forever. The wife on the other hand is a little bit harder because she already has her beliefs, but we are going to work really hard with this family to help them get baptized and sealed :)
Well i hope you all know that i am praying for you all, and that i cant wait to talk to you all! Have some questions or something ready because i know i will just be so excited to see you all and forget everything i wanted to say... haha
Have a wonderful week!
See you Sunday :)
