May 18, 2015
Hello family,

So this week was the week of the family here in our branch and every night we had an activity in the church about the family and it was super successful, and lots of people were coming and participating! We were in charge of one night and we taught everyone how to spend time with there family. Little sad that we need to teach that now a days, but thanks to you guys i had plenty ideas for them! Also that night one of our investigators, Iby, came with her two kids and they were all laughing and having such a great time! it was the best! The next day we went to visit her and she was going on and on about how much she liked it and how she was so surprised that Mormons really are normal people.. haha

One night we had about 30 minutes before we needed to be at the activity, so we were walking around and my companion was like "lets go visit Christian and his family." and i was so happy for 2 reasons. One is that i am trying now to have her take charge, and have more say in everything because she only has like 3 more weeks of her training left. So i was so happy she was taking a chance to put in her thoughts, and also because i was thinking the same thing :) so we went over to this house, Christian wasn't home, but his wife was and she let us in. And then like 5 minutes later, Christian walked in so it was perfect. We started teaching them and the spirit was soooo strong. When i told you guys that the first lesson is my favorite to teach is because almost always we end up talking about the family. This is something that is near and dear to my heart, and can feel the Spirit testifying every time i say that families can be together forever. As we started to talk, i saw the mom really starting to listen, and then tears started to fill her eyes. She then pulled me in and gave me a great big hug, thanking me for what we are doing. and she told us it wasn't chance that we stopped by today, but that is was directed by God. And these are the moments when i think "and this is why i am here" :)

So we will be working hard with this family, the only problem is that the wife said that her mom is a Jehovah Witness and would probably kill her is she found out that she was listening to Mormons, but that`s not going to stop us :) we know that the spirit is more powerful than anything else.

Also Iby, the lady that came to the activity, one day we were with her and she was like "Hermana Peters i need to ask you something, i have heard a rumor and i just want to know the truth" so i am waiting to hear something like Mormons having 10 wives, or that we have horms or something right? no her question was... "Do gringos shower?".... hahaha i guess that lots of people in central america think that gringos dont shower, that we all just walk around gross all day in our jeans and tennis shoes. Hahaha so i made sure she understood that we do shower, and that we are clean people. Hahaha so dont make me a liar and please shower :)

Today we got to see the movie Meet the Mormons and i loved it!! That last family, with the boy on the mission is the boy i filmed coming off the airplane! By the way mom, have you heard anything from her? because i never did finish the video... opps! But crazy right?? and the family from Costa Rica i dont know, but i heard they live in Guanacaste :)

So all is well here, everyday we are working, and pushing and doing are very best. Somedays are harder than others, but in those moments i can hear my Heavenly Father sayin ¨just hold on a little bit longer, good is about to come¨ so then i keep pushing on.

Thank you all for the package, we are going right now to have our Pday party :) wooohooo!! haha you guys are the best and i felt so much love!!

Well have a wonderful week and know that i love you all sooo much!

Love,
Hermana Peters
One night we were walking around because all of our appointments had fallen, and i thought about how dad said the best thing to do is serve, so i saw a man with a whole bunch of bread in his hands, and i was like oh we could help him carry his bread! so we walked over, asked him if we could help him, and instead of just letting us carry his bread he gave it to us.. 6 huge bagets. hahaha he owns a bread store so he said this was extra from the day! wooohooo blessings from serving :) haha

i tried some new fruit this week!! dont ask me what they are called because i dont remember... haha

Well rain season is now here. Umbrellas everyday :)
