Oct. 26, 2015
Hello family,

Well i am glad everyone could make it through another goodbye. I am so proud of Michael and his decision to serve. I hope all is well is Mexico and i cant wait to hear from my fellow missionary :)

So this week was AMAZING!!!!! We had the great honor and privilege of having Elder Duncan, one of the seventy, here with us and all i can say is that he is a man called straight from God. I wish i had a recording of all that he taught us because it was amazing. I was very blessed to also hear from him twice. We had a multi zone meeting with him and then after the next day we had our Leadership Meeting with him. I Loved every second of it and if i had more time i would write down everything he told us to all of you. But one thing i would like to share with you all was some motivation he gave us. I want you all to think about something right now in your life that maybe seems "hard". Maybe it`s the load you have at school or work, maybe it`s dealing with dumb friends, maybe it`s starting to serve a mission, learning another language, maybe its doing your morning prayers, maybe it`s studying the scriptures daily, maybe it`s having charity, or having positive thoughts. Whatever it is, i want you all to think of something and then go read these scriptures....
Matthew 19: 26
Luke 1:37
Phil 4:13
Mark 10:27
Mark 9:23
Matthew 17:20
Isiah 41:10
Mark 11:24
1 Nephi 3:7
Romans 8:31
Alma 36:3
Gen 18:14
Jeremiah 32:27
1 Nephi 19:50

WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

This helped everyone here. Because our mission President is really helping us to stretch and grow. i know that personally it is exactly what i needed to finish my mission strong. That i needed him to help me realize my full potential. He has set goals for us and i am here to say that they are all inspired by God. And i know what all these scriptures are saying are true. My companion and i have really seen it, and this next Sunday we are going to show that faith, diligence and prayers bring many miracles. We will be having 5 bapitsms the next Sunday, which is the monthly goal that President has set for every companionship. Everyone said he was crazy, but we are here saying that it`s possible. So Lubi, Ramon, Leodan, Tony, and Osvaldo will all be getting baptized on Sunday. So please pray for them :):)

Well i am all out of time but i love you allll sooo much!! Thank you for all your love :)

Love,
Hermana Peters

10-19-15
Hello family,

Well first off i just need to tell Michael that i love him. i already told millions of times, but one more time i am telling you. I am soooo excited for you to go serve, along with the whole family. I am sooo happy that you all were able to enjoy your time together, and Michael i know that these final moments you had with our family will be ones you cherish for the next two years. Like i have said, we are sooo very blessed to have the family we have, and you will come to realize that more and more everyday that you are out. I wanted to share something with you, but also with the whole family because i want you to know, and for everyone else to be able to tell you and testify of the things that i am saying, that you are sooo very important to us and to our family, you are ONE of a kind, and have sooo many gifts and talents, that are going to help you soo much on your mission. But not only are you only important to our family, but also to our Heavenly Father. He loves you so much and has chosen you to be apart of the chosen generation. I like how sheri dew says it when she says that being the chosen generation is "akin to being chosen to run the last leg of a relay, where the coach always positions his strongest runner. You were recommended to help run the last leg of the relay that began with Adam and Eve because your premortal spiritual valor indicated you would have the courage and the determination to face the world at its worst. to do combat with the evil one during his heyday, and, in spit of it all, to be fearless in building  the kingdom of God."
So Michael, put on all the armor of God and go fight!! You are soo ready, soo prepared and the world needs you now. Everyday i see here the we really are in the last days, and God needs his children, his missionaries to go out and tell everyone that they have the truth, that WE have the truth, the light, the hope and the only true joy in this world. Know that you are now joining the biggest, best and strongest group of youth in the world, and that putting on your missionary tag will be the final piece of armor you need. I will speak for the whole family right now, as they have all told me, that we are sooo excited for you!!! Go kill them!! Oregon is soooo lucky to have our little buddy, Elder Peters :):)

So now i will just say that my week here was great! I sent a picture of Lubi so now you know what she looks like, and still will need to get one of Ramon. But can i just say that they are amazing!!! They are sooo ready to get baptized, and we actually had a member of the bishopric come with us this week to go visit with us to give Ramon special permission to be baptized with only 2 times in church because they normally need . so the 2nd counselor came with us and said yes of course, that he is prepared and can see in his eyes that he is going to be a future leader in the church. So we were ready for them to come to church on Sunday to get their second time, and then get baptized on Thursday. Ramon´s work didn't give him the day off, but he is a guard and said that he knows that with faith everything is possible, so on Sunday morning he left to go to church with Lubi and Estrellita. In the bus on the way to church, Lubi got a phone call from someone in Nicaragua because they are from Nicaragua. I guess she had some kind of loan there, and if she didn't get the money to them by today that they were going to take away the house that they have in Nicaragua. so of course she felt super stressed, and they went to go talk to some people to get everything figured out..... so they didnt come to church and i was pretty sad...
But then last night we went to go visit them. We could see in their eyes that they had a super stressful day, and that they really were all in the church clothes ready to go to church. so we sat down and started to talk to them, and Ramon said very clearly and bodly to us that they were not going to miss church again. That every Sunday there were going to be there, and then basically he taught us. He started telling us how he has been reading the Book of Mormon, and how it really is the tool that we need to be successful in this life. He has soo many amazing personal experiences, and is one of those people that you can help but listen. He is amazing. So although they cant get baptized this week, they willl be getting baptized in November. :) i am soo happy for them.

Also yesterday Ezequeil received the priesthood, and also got a temple recommend!!! He´s going to the temple in like two weeks and i am sooo excited for him :)

Well i dont have much more time to talk about my week, but am soo happy to have heard all about your guy´s week :) and one last time..

Michael i love you and am soo proud of you.
Elder Peters, Welcome to the mission. You and me are going to change this world one country at a time. deal? :)

LOVE YOU ALL!!! have a wonderful week!!!

Love,
Hermana Peters

Costa Rica is Beautiful!!!!!

pictures from church yesterday

Our friends we met this week

Hello Family,

First off, i was just talking to mom and she said how you all had a family fast for Michael yesterday. I had no idea but was fasting for the exact same thing. That just shows how real the spirit is and also how strong our bond is as a family. :) Michael we are all so excited for you to go serve, and i promise with this team behind you, you`re never going to fall. And it doesnt matter where we are in the world, or what we are doing, our family will always be the strongest, coolest and best team in the world. We alll love you soo much Michael. And i am soo excited to see you get out and start serving. and well i will write more next week because you`ve still got more time :)

So this week was called Sacrifce Week. It was an idea that President has that we will be doing every month. It was a sacrifice, but it was amazing. So Tuesday-Friday we woke up at 5:30, did our normal morning routine and left the house at 7 to start preaching to the whole world. :) and so every morning we went to a different part of the zone and talked to everyone. Here`s how it went...

Tuesday: We all went to Puriscal. This used to have sisters, but they had a white wash and now it`s elders, so they didn't really know there area still but knew names. so they assigned areas to us to go and talk to everyone and knock on all the doors. So we had a little part assigned but the cool thing was the me and Hermana Garcia had both already worked there because of divisions with the hermanas. So we actually went, found were the people were that we had taught, and set up appointments and got directions so the elders could come back to teach them. After we came back to our area and saw a ton of miracles, and found 7 new investigators :)
Wednesday: The morning we all spent in Ciudad Colon. This is also the area of hermanas so we knew a little bit of the area, but this time we were assigned to another part. So we just started knocking on doors, and found a young women, that had listened to the missionaries a while ago,but had a bad experience, so we were able to sit down and talk to her, by the end she wanted once again to listen to the missionaries so that was cool! Also a lady in the street stopped me and said "sorry you look a lot like one of my friends so i just had to say hi" so i asked her what her friends name was and she said "Flower" and then described her... ya it was hermana Fowler ;) hahaha and that day when we got back we went out and found 9 new investigators. Yes the field is ripe and ready to harvest. :):) 5 of them was a family and we left them a Book of Mormon and they are already reading it!!
Thursday: Santa Ana where we totally got lost because we knew nothing... haha but we talk to a bunch of people and found a lot of families for the Elders to teach. Then we came back to our area and contacted in a new part and found 4 new :):) 2 of them are the ones i sent pictures of and they are soo cute. :) Also we had an appointment on Thursday with a man named Osvaldo and he`s a man that has had a pretty crazy life and is now ready to turn it around and live it in the way that he should. i love listening the people tell there stories and see the really God is directing them in every step of their lives until they are ready to open their heart, and then puts us in their path. And if we dont talk to them, they`ll talk to us. And that is what happened with him. One day in the part he just said hey do you guys have those little pamphlets that i can read? then the next sunday he was at church and now he`s progressing super fast! it`s amazing :)
Friday: was SICK!!! the whole zone went to San Jose and did ¨park preaching¨ and just talked to about everyone we could!! I felt like i was on a movie because we`d all just stop in the middle of this huge city and start singing a hymn and people would stop and listen to us!! It was sooo cool!!! :)

So that was just 4 days of my week, Saturday and Sunday were normal days and i`ve never been so happy to sleep in til 6:30 before :) :) haha but by the end of the week we had talked to over 350 people and found 25 new investigators that want to listen and are sooo ready to accept the gospel. It is amazing to see how God blesses us. Sacrifice really does bring blessings :):)

Also thank you for the prayers for Lubi and Ramon. Ramon now has a job!!!!! Which is such a miracle, the only bad thing is that he is now working on Sunday..... but he has soooo much faith that everything is going to work out and we do too :)

Well i am out of time but i love you all soooo much!!! Good luck with this week! Especially my little buddy Michael!! :):) Go killl it :)

LOVE YOU ALLLL.

Love,
Hermana Peters

Hello Family,

How are you all doing? I hope you all enjoyed conference :) I know that it was probably the best thing that could have happened this past weekend. Almost all of the talks answered question that I have been having. I love Saturday morning, all the talks really touched my heart! I will have to say it´s a lot different watching in Spanish. This was my first time watching it all in Spanish.. (Ya about time right) and I understood everything but there is just something about hearing their voices that is so powerful. But I still loved it and learned sooo much! I can´t wait to get the talks so start reading them :)

This last week was great!! I have to say that I was super happy all week for one little thing, more like one little family :) Lubi, her husband Ramon, and their little daughter Estrellita (the little girl I sent pictures of) they were the ones I talked about last week, how he lost his job and they didn't have anything so a member bought them food. So this family is the best, and we´ve been teaching them for about 2 months now, they were progressing but slowly. Then last week they went to church, and had a huge change!! Ramon is in love with everything in the church and left the church super happy saying he could really feel the spirit. We gave him a Gospel Principles book to read and then went to see then again on Wednesday. We walked in and I could see a huge difference in Ramon. We sat down and started to talk, and one of the first things he told us that he wanted to get baptized with his wife because they want to go to the temple to be sealed in one year. He has already read all  of Gospel Principles and they are sooo excited for their baptism. But as you guys know, Satan doesn't stop... and yesterday Lubi showed up church and during confernece started to cry and told us that the owner of their house wants to kick them out... she was super sad, so we left with her that night to go look for a house. Ramon has now found a little bit of work, but not a lot. so please pray for this family. I love them sooo much.

Also as you saw we spent almost all day Thursday in the doctor, but now my comp is doing a little better. She just has a lot of headaches a lot... poor girl.

Ohhhh and Monday and Tuesday Hermana Fowler was with us!! Her comp had a doctors appointment so they could go back to Guanacaste so I got to go on divisions with her AGAIN!!!!! Boooo ya we were super happy :):) and we saw a huge miracle. Remember Jennifer Lopez? Our miracle from July that got baptized? Ya she has been having a hard time lately because she saw something on the TV about Joseph Smith. (sometimes it makes me so mad all the garbage out there about him) but for that she stopped going to church. So we planned with the young women in the ward to do an activity to watch the Joseph Smith movie that is like an hour long, but that really shows all he had to suffer. During the movie I was watching Jenny, and her face slow changed, from hard and closed off to open. At the end I went and sat by her, and asked her how she felt. She smiled and said that all she can say is that she feels like crying. That she now understands and believes in Joseph Smith! IT was amazing :):)

Well I love you all so much! Thank you all for all you guys do for me! I feel so blessed to have a family like you guys :)

Have a wonderful week!!!

Love,
Hermana Peters
